Review
The Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver is comfortable and well designed. The staff courteous. The romance package meets the basic requirements with high quality ingredients. However, it is none of these things that has made this the hotel to which I most often want to return.
Diva’s is what has drawn me back to the Met over and over again. The food at this remarkable restaurant never fails to entice. The international menu with west coast flair is delicious. I got hooked when Iron Chef competitor Michael Noble was still Executive Chef. Now the kitchen is led by Executive Chef Ray Henry and Restaurant Chef Damon Campbell with world renowned chocolatier Thomas Haas as Executive Pastry Chef. From start to finish, wine pairings and all, a meal here is an indulgence everyone who loves good food should experience. For me, nothing stokes the fire more than slowing savouring an excellent meal (as long as it is taken in moderation).
Even without Diva’s, the Metropolitan provides a casual, elegant setting for romance in the heart of the financial and shopping districts of downtown Vancouver. Perfect for business and pleasure, this hotel fits into any sexy night out.
