Review
The Pan Pacific Hotel is a staple in the luxury accommodation market of Vancouver boasting stunning suites that can cost upwards of $3000 per night and an amazing spa that has a great VIP Suite Romance Package for those who want to completely relax and get away from it all as a couple.
When my husband and I first moved to Vancouver as poor students, we headed downtown (by public transit) to enjoy a picnic lunch at Canada Place and watch the sea planes land and take off. Looking up we could see the luxury offered by the Pan Pacific Hotel that, at that time, was far beyond our means. When it came time to start a family seven years later, we could think of no other hotel that would be more appropriate than this one to kick off the festivities. Needless to say, I have a special affection for this hotel that spun its magic and helped me get pregnant by morning.
It was also at the Five Sails Restaurant that I experienced my first flight of wines with a set menu, making me a slave to this marketing concept for the rest of my life. And the Pan Pacific kitchen also prepared for me the best banana pancakes I have ever had, compared to which all others have simply been a disappointment. Good food is always a turn on for me and an important component for a sensual night.
Although this hotel has only one romance package, it does some things I think should be standard in this market, like an automatic late check out and all night room service.
All of this plus one of the most stunning urban backdrops of water and mountains in the world. If you want a sexy night away from your life that overflows with decadence and you have some money to spend, nothing really can beat the Pan Pacific. Get ready to indulge.
